Losing most of his left leg in a freak motocross accident in 2000 didn't keep Jim off a bike for long. He still races at the local level and even finished second in the Vet Expert class in his local series in '09, and he took 4th in '09 XG Super X Adaptive. Since he grew up riding snowmobiles, he decided to race those, too, and took silver in the 2010 Winter X Snocross Adaptive event. Father to Hailey (age 10) and Austin (age 12, who also races), Jim works as a prosthetic technician at Wright & Filippis and puts on life clinics to help other amputees achieve their goals. Will use an artificial knee designed and built by fellow competitor Mike Schultz. |
From July 29 to Aug. 1, ESPN will celebrate its 16th annual action sports event entirely downtown between the STAPLES Center, Nokia Theatre, the Los Angeles Coliseum and L.A. LIVE. The 2010 event marks the seventh consecutive year that the X Games will take place in Los Angeles. Thirty-one hours of live HD programming on ESPN and ESPN2 will be aired over the four days of the event, as well as on ESPN International, ESPN.comaction, ESPN Classic, ESPN3.com, and SportsCenter.
Watch for #767 Jim Wazny as he competes in the Super-X Adaptive segment of this great event.

Get prepared for the 29th Annual Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championship presented by Amsoil.
The championship will be held Aug 2 - 7, 2010 at the legendary Loretta Lynn Ranch in scenic Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

After having last Saturday's race cancelled due to rain. The racers came back to a beautiful Sunday race.Track was great which made the racing that much better.

Celebrating Over a Decade of Motocross |
The August 1st race will be MPX Vintage Day.They will be having a coolest vintage bike contest (must be 1989 and older) and also a gift certificate drawing for all riders that are signed up for a vintage class. |
The Vintage Day will feature 4 different vintage classes. They are as follows:
Ironman (1974 & Older)
Evolution (1981 & Older)
Innovation (1989 & Older)
Innovation Schoolboy (12-15 yrs old, 1994 & Older bikes, 125cc & under) |
